These were life changing moments!
Moses had one of those moments, told in Exodus 32:15-20. He had just come down from speaking directly to God and receiving the ten commandments. Of course, when he came down the mountain he found his countrymen, the Israelites, fighting and worshipping a false God!
Moses was angry, frustrated, disappointed, and suddenly realized he was alone in his quest to follow God with all his heart.
It can be the same for us...we head back to school, work, and our friends with a new experience that is hard to put into words and share with others. You just say "you had to be there." But, since they weren't they probably aren't living with the same passion that you are. So, they can distract, frustrate, and even anger you.
It is times like these, when we feel alone, that we need to take a hold of 1 John 4:16-21.
We need to remember to LOVE OUT LOUD no matter who is around us.
16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
What holds you back from truly "Loving out Loud" to everyone?
-Busyness
-Your own Pride
-Lazyness
-Fear
Your Challenge is this: Find one thing you believe God wants you to do in school to show the love to ALL people?
