               Lukman is growing up!

New Lukman photos

As most of you know, we sponsor a Compassion child through our financial giving and our prayers. Our monetary donations help pay for his school, supplies, and an opportunity to learn about Jesus!

Our child is Lukman , he lives in Indonesia, and we've been sponsoring him for over 4 years! He turns 12 on June 29.
We recently received a new picture. Continue to support Lukman or join in if you haven't been. See Phil for a new laminate of Lukman to keep so you can pray for him everyday.

Lukman Update

We received a new picture today. Lukman is growing up. The last picture we had received was in February of 2008.

Soon we will have a "Lukman station" in the youth room where you can see his pictures and donate your change to help support his education and opportunity to learn about God.

We received a letter from Lukman in the mail today!

Here are a few snippets...

"I have a lot of smiles for you...I like to play soccer...and I like to play with my pet rabbit, Si Putih, and my cat, Si Belang. All of us children also like to fly kites! It is dry season here so it is very windy and fun for flying kites.

Has anyone in Trinity Park ever flown kites? Do you know what a kite is?....

New Lukman Photo

Exciting news from Indonesia!

Today we received a new picture of our compassion child, Lukman.

He has grown up quite a bit.

As you can see...he no longer prefers to tuck in his shirt, wears a watch, has blue sandals instead of orange sandals, and is sporting a new hairdo with a little fohawk in the back (that or he just woke up and has some serious bedhead).

All kidding aside...please continue to pray for and support Lukman!

Lukman - One Year!!!

Believe it or not, we have been sponsoring Lukman for one year!!!!!!!!

As many of you know, we as a youth group have been supporting Lukman through an organization called Compassion International.

Compassion states it's purpose as a "Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, physical, economic and social poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults."

As of today, Compassion supports over 800,000 children in 24 countries.

Our compassions child is Wahyu Lukman Fauzhi, or as we like to call him, Lukman.

For just $32 a month (and plenty of prayer), the youth help support Lukman, our 8 year old Indonesian who likes to sing and play soccer.

So, if you have been helping to support Lukman that's great. This is just a reminder to continue pressing on. If you haven't helped at all (or have fallen behind in your giving), maybe it's time to join in!

Proverbs 19:7 "He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord."
