"Church as it Should Be" Halfway Recap

We are halfway through our "Church as it Should Be" series. And after two weeks off (Father's Day and VBS) we will get back into this series Sunday at 4pm.

So, in short, what did we cover in the first 3 weeks?

Week 1 - Focused on Jesus
The church should be focused on Jesus. This is the foundation. Jesus gave us purpose, power (the Holy Spirit), and the ability to tell others about him!
A church that is focused on Jesus is connected in love, learning, worship, and bringing other to Jesus.

Week 2 -Selfless for one another
We are all filled with the same Holy Spirit and are in this together! Therefore, as part of one giant community, we should rediscover generosity while remembering that ordinary people can do extraordinary things! We ended this week with a challenge to make one change that week in our relationship with God or in improving our generosity!

Week 3 - Concerned for the Lost
The main focus was on evangelism (telling others about Jesus).
-Look for opportunities to share God's story of love and sacrifice.
-Look for opportunities to share Your story of how God changed you.
-Look for opportunities to discuss and answer questions that people have about God and the Bible (Acts 8:26-40).
-Be there to care for others.

It's all about developing a heart for those who don't know Jesus!
