Tonight we told the story of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was a man full of passion and confidence in God. He had one task he wanted to accomplish - rebuild the walls of Jerusalem after they had been destroyed for decades There were many parts to this story (passion, vision, opposition, etc) that we won't recap in full here.
The bottom line is that Nehemiah used his leadership, sympathy for his people, and faith that God would help him rebuild the city walls. And they did it in 52 days. Nehemiah had some great gifts, yet he is often neglected when we tell Old Testament stories.
We all have gifts. Some we may not even be aware of. Some even change over time based on whether we grow and nurture them or if we ignore them.
