Sunday Movie & Youth Time Change

This Sunday for youth we will be going to see Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.

Since the movie/documentary is not in Greenfield, we will be traveling up to East 96th street, just south of Fishers to this theater.

What is the movie about?
It stars Ben Stein (Ferris Bueller's Day off, Win Ben Stein's Money) who is on search to discover why people in the scientific community who believe in Intelligent Design (that someone created the universe) are being ridiculed, fired, and outcasted for merely suggesting that evolution & Darwinism (that all creation formed over billions of years, essentially from nothing, think Big Bang Theory) are not the only possible answers.

Bottom line: Why is there not freedom of speech for both views, especially since Darwinism is out of date and often misinterpreted. You could say academic freedom is the goal of the movie.

The movie will also support its case for Intelligent Design. For more info about the movie overview click here.

Cost: $5 for the movie ticket
Time: Arrive at the church at our usual 4:00pm start time. We will return at approximately 7:45pm-8:00pm.

We will have a discussion before we head to the movie (and a quick snack) to make sure everyone understands some common terminology and what the point of the movie is about. Below is the trailer for the movie and another clip of Ben being interviewed by Bill O'Reilly. These videos may be even more helpful to parents than just youth.
